It’s been a few years since I’ve been able to call my dad and tell him Happy Father’s Day — but that doesn’t mean he isn’t still with me every single day.

Jean Marie Blavier was a shining light in our family — full of music, stories, stubbornness (I mean… determination 😉), and a deep, unwavering love for his family, his faith, and his Belgian roots. 🇧🇪🇺🇸

I still hear his voice in the songs he used to sing. I still see his legacy in the values he passed down: faith, hard work, persistence, and family first — always.

And I still feel him in the quiet moments when I need strength, or courage, or just a reminder that love never really goes away.

I’ve been blessed not only with my dad, but with a wonderful father-in-law, Clifford Swanner, who also made this world brighter. They may not be with us physically, but they live on in our lives, our laughter, and our standards.

To every person who has been a Dad to someone — biological, adopted, chosen, step, or spiritual — thank you for showing up with love. You matter more than you know.

And to those missing their dads today: I see you. I’m with you. And I believe we’ll all be together again one day.

Happy Father’s Day 💙

John 3:16 — “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son…”
